A little more Bgirl history. Headspin Janet was not the first Bgirl to hit the floor, but she was the first female in 1983 to represent along side the main Rock Steady Crew members in a major battle. After filming Beat Street, we wanted to have a real battle that wasn't going to be controlled by the producers. We battled New York City Breakers 2 weeks after with our regular squad and they had theirs. Janet was at such a high level with her abilies, we simply looked at her as one of the best around and not just because she was a girl. We had all the confidence in the world in her and she didn't let us down. She was a beast! She would chase dudes to battle and when it came to other bgirls, I've watched her battle 3 at the same time. And she was the one to call them out.
